Flickr Gamma

16 May 2006

Gah! I opened Flickr this morning and I knew something was up when I saw my sets on the right of the page. How dare they upset my balance!! So…much…change…from Flick Beta to Flickr Gamma. Change and I don't get along very well. And, I don't even use cash, either. =) I do like how much easier the Oganizr is to use, though. I like being able to see all of my sets and arrange them more easily. My favorite part of the Organizr is the ability to choos photos that don't have homes (belong to a set) or don't have tags. I can be more organized now! Almost every one of my photos has a home now. (Phew!) I also like how there are fewer columns at the bottom of the pages. They weren't organized very well and it was hard to find what I wanted to do. Now, the link are conveniently located at the top in drop down boxes. It's nice that if you click a link, it will take you to the most popular place you'd want to go. I wonder how long this has been in the works? How much longer until Flickr goes to version 1.0? Immortal Thrill-Seeker had this to say about the new Flickr. Is that lipstick on the bottle???

LOL! Love that last question! I didn’t care much for the change with Flickr at first, either, but I’m getting used to it. It seems like the selections that I use most are right where I can access them quickly. I’ll have to check the Organizr — I hadn’t used that before!
